2008 sees the 17th year of the H90J Grand Prix. The competition is open to paid up members of H90J members only and makes use of local races in Essex. To stand a chance of winning a prize, you will need to run at least 5 of the 7 races. You do not need to be part of a team to take part. You can enter as an individual, so if don't turn up for a race, you won't be letting anybody down. However, teams of ANY three are welcome to try to win the team prize.
The Individual League is broken up into several divisions. Each division consists of runners of similar 10K times regardless of age or sex and the time spread aimed for each division is 2-3 minutes. Therefore, you will only compete against runners of similar ability. So, if it takes you an hour to run a 10K you will only be competing against others who take about that time. If you manage to improve over the season, then you stand a good chance of winning the division.
