How to Join Us

If you are not able to run three miles, then you should join our Learn2Run scheme. Once you have made it to three miles you can join in with the club running and pay your subs. If you are an established runner, then just turn up any night at the club, introduce yourself at the desk and away you go. 

Membership Application

Before you come along it really helps if you complete our online form below and also bring along a completed temporary membership paper form on the night. That includes Learn2Run too.

Your online application is then authorised by the Membership Secretary, but come along to the club anyway even if it isn't done straightaway. You will then be sent an email asking you to pay online via Paypal or debit/credit card. We can take cheques, but are trying to avoid them.  In the email you will be sent login details for our payment portal.


Please note that there is no pressure to pay and emails are auto-generated, but please pay within a month or so of receiving the email.

If you subsequently decide not to join, please let us know so we can stop emailing and texting you by taking you off the database.

Registering for Membership

If you are a brand new member, select Single Membership.

If you are 60+ years, select concessionary membership.
If you are second claim, select second claim.
If you are joining our Learn2 Run scheme, the select the L2R option (free).

The club's membership year runs from April to March, so

    When registering before end of December, you will pay the full rate of £35 p.a.and have to pay again in April.
    When registering between January and March, you will be asked to pay the 15 months rate of £45 p.a.  Membership will run to March the following year.

From April 1 2017, England Athletics require £14 per competing, first claim member of the club. This cost is automatically included in your membership.

England Athletics - you will be subsequently sent a competition licence and login details to the England Athletics portal by England Athletics. The fee, is included in your membership. It is then up to you to keep your details up to date on the portal.

Data Protection


The club will hold your details on an online database. You may be contacted by the club from time to time via telephone, text, snail mail or e-mail in connection with membership or race information. Your details will not be passed onto any 3rd party or be used for any purpose other than for club business, which from 2007 means passing your name, address and DoB to England Athletics for purposes of affiliation. The Data Protection Act then also applies to your relationship with EA. The personal information that you disclose to EA is up to you. You can further disclose information such as email address and telephone number via a web interface at
