Club Standards 

The aim of the club standards award scheme is to give members an incentive to improve their race times. 

The scheme runs from 1st January to 31st December each year.

Runners will be awarded a certificate or badge or something according to the standard achieved. Members will need to apply for their standard by email to the club secretary when they have achieved the standards at three of the distances. They will need to provide proof of their times. Chip times acceptable.

How it works

There are minimum time standards for each age group. Your age category is your age on race day. Therefore, if your birthday means you change category part way through a year, the standard times before your birthday must be for the lower age category, and times after your birthday for the higher age category.

To be awarded a standard you must complete at least three distances. When you meet the minimum times for your age category, claim your award by contacting the club secretary and have proof ready. There are seven distances available  - 5k, 5 miles,  10k,  10 miles, Half Marathon, 20 miles and the Marathon.

All times must be achieved at recognized athletic affiliated events with accurately measured courses (o fun runs, cross country or off-road events).

The times shown below are the minimum required to achieve the standard.
