Learn2Run

L2R has returned to H90J!

H90J have a friendly set up for beginners. Based on the NHS Couch to 5k format, this 10 week programme will gradually build up your running confidence and ability through two instructor-led sessions a week. Every Tuesday and Thursday evening there will be training sessions with an ultimate end-goal of running 5km (3.1 miles) non-stop at our local local parkrun in Harrow Lodge Park - cheered on and supported by your new H90J running family.

How do I sign up?
Enquire or register using the form at the bottom of the page, or email headcoach@h90j.org.uk for more information. We will arrange with you to join the next 10-week block.

What does it cost?
Learn2Run is FREE for all members - you'll just need to pay the club membership fee, which is £47 and covers your registration with England Athletics and membership of the club for the rest of the club year (until our AGM in April).

What should I bring?
You don't need to bring anything - just wear some light, loose clothing suitable for running. Proper running shoes are best, but we can always advise you if you're not sure what to get. Bear in mind that it can feel 10 degrees hotter when you're running, so don't over-dress! If it's hot, it's a good idea to bring water.

What happens on a Learn2Run session?
On the first night, meet at the club. The room is attended at all times, so you can leave car keys and any other items. Expect to go out the door at 7:30, warm up for a few minutes, walk/run for about 30 minutes, stretch, chat and be done in around 45 mins.
