We need 11 runners to make this year's team. It’s a great 2-day event. You pick a stage to run on Saturday and then another stage to run on Sunday. We will have 1 official runner, but you can run with someone if you like. All the stages are in the link above. Take a look and give me the two stages you would like to complete. Not sure? Ask, there will be someone at the club who has taken part in this event and can help.
This is open to everyone, but if you don’t feel you want to commit to running two days, there are other ways to be involved.
No problem! Whether you're a seasoned GBR veteran or new to the event, there are many ways to get involved with non-running roles like:
Drivers: helping our runners get to their stages so you’ll still be part of the weekend
Marshalling: helping the organizers out on-course
The Green Belt Relay is a 220-mile run for teams of 11 runners that takes place each year in May and is open to runners of all standards. The course is renowned for the spectacular scenery and interesting sites that it passes. It starts from Hampton Court and circumnavigates London on towpaths, footpaths, and quiet country lanes. Stages vary in distance from 5.6 to 13.5 miles, with teams of 11 taking part over 22 stages. The course is marked throughout, and each stage is accurate.
